How to Become a Member of Temple Ner Tamid (TNT)
We are excited that you are considering becoming a member of Temple Ner Tamid (TNT). We are a Hamish Jewish community that strives in leaving you feeling welcomed, connected, and spiritually enriched. Our hope is that in teaming up together with you, we will deepen our connection to Jewish culture, explore new and meaningful ways to build our Jewish practices and experiences together as we enhance our involvement in Klal Yisrael.
We are more than a place of worship. We are a community committed to spirituality, education, personal relationships, personal growth, and an ever-growing Jewish journey. Our Congregation includes members who are new to the region and others who have been in the North Shore for generations. We are individuals of all backgrounds, including interfaith, LGBTQ, people with disabilities, and diverse levels of personal observance.
Temple Ner Tamid is warm and inclusive, affiliated with the Conservative Movement, USCJ, and has deep roots in the Peabody MA community. TNT was founded in 1959 and has been a leading synagogue serving the North Shore community since its start. Our roots as a neighborhood, community-based center of prayer and learning are reflected in our current values and priorities. We are an egalitarian, inclusive, accessible, and welcoming Conservative congregation.
We value spirituality, whether at daily evening minyan, regular Shabbat and holiday services, special life cycle events, or in nontraditional settings. We value education and learning, from our Pre School through our Hebrew High and on to our Adult Education offerings. We value tzedakah and tikkun olam—charity, social justice, and a responsibility to care for others through a highly active social action program. We support Jewish community locally, in Israel, and throughout the world.
